About Dede

Hi, I’m Dede. I love travelling, I love life – and Dede Atlas is where I share both with you.

Why Dede Atlas exists

On the road I collect pictures, routes and small discoveries: a lane early in the morning, a view across a river, a square where you stay longer than planned. Dede Atlas started so that these moments would not stay hidden on my phone, but be written down in a way that helps you plan your own trip. Here you will find places I have been to, and places that sit at the top of my list.

Where I have been

So far my travels have taken me through a good part of Europe: Spain, Italy, Greece, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, and up north to the Baltics – Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. You can see many of these stops in photos and short videos on my Instagram, @travel_0771.

What you will find here

The guides on Dede Atlas are practical day routes and travel tips: which places link up well, when it is quieter, what to check before you go. Facts such as opening hours, tickets or local rules are checked against official sources, which are linked at the end of every post. Where I have my own photos I show them; otherwise I use freely licensed images and name the photographer, source and licence.

Three languages, one atlas

Dede Atlas is published in German, English and Turkish, because those are the languages of the people I travel and talk with. Every post is complete in all three.
